Tabor City, NC

Mr. Lloyd H. Suggs, age 85, of Swamp Fox Hwy. E., Tabor City, died Thursday, July 27, 2017 in his home.  Born November 20, 1931 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Lushion Pinkney Suggs and Fannie Graves Suggs Walton.

He is survived by two daughters: Lisa Wallmueller (Jerry) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Anita Hauglid (Bill) of Champlin, MN; one son: Gregory L. Suggs of Milwaukee, WI; five sisters: Golda Estelle Stanley (Donny) of Dunn, NC, Mazie Smith of Whiteville, Claudia Wanda Stevens of Tabor City, Eloise Hutto of Bamberg, SC, Ann S. White (Leo, Jr.) of Whiteville; special family friends: Earl Causey, Frankie Stevens; four grandchildren: Joel (Ashley) Cook, Amanda (Tyler) Mosher, Christopher Teays, Spencer Teays; and one great grandchild: Cora Mosher.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son: Douglas Suggs; one grandson: Adam Suggs; two brothers: Raymond Elroy Suggs, Howard Suggs; one sister: Ola Mae Sellers; and four brothers in law: O'Neil Sellers, Howard Smith, Frank Stevens, and Charles Hutto. 

Funeral services will be Friday, August 4, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Dulah Church Cemetery, Tabor City.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
