Mitchell D. Ward

Owner, Licensed North and South Carolina Funeral Service Licensee and Certified Crematory Operator

Mitchell D. Ward has been part of the Inman Ward Funeral Home family since 1995 and the owner since 2008. Mitchell is married to Kim Soles Ward and they have five children Koven Ward, Alexis Ward, Kane Lainer, Riley Lanier and Olivia Lanier. He and his family attend Western Prong Baptist Church in Whiteville. Mitchell is a Master Mason with Lebanon Lodge 207 and a Shriner with the Columbus County Shrine Club.

Mitchell is a 1993 graduate of Green Sea-Floyd High School and graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College with his Associates of Applied Science in Funeral Service Education. He has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1995 and is also licensed in South Carolina.

W.D. "Bill" Sirginson

License Funeral Director

Funeral Director, Licensed in North and South Carolina.

Bill Sirginson is a part of the Inman Ward Funeral Home team. He has been licensed since 1964. After s a career as a Law Enforcement Officer in the State of North and South Carolina having served as a Chief of Police before retirement. Bill received the Distinguished Police Officer Award from the Police Hall of Fame. He returned to the Funeral Profession to continue serving families in their times of need.

Bill is married to Rebecca Gasque Sirginson, they have two children Kim De Rosier and Cissy Bass, and one grandchild Dr. Brittany Bass.

He and his wife attend St. Luke Lutheran Church in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Bill is an Ordained Lutheran Pastor with the Evangelical Lutheran Protestant Church, as a community Chaplain.

A Master Mason with Crown Point Lodge #708, having served as secretary for the lodge.

A graduate from Fishburne Military School, Waynesboro, Virginia, an Associate degree in Applied Science, from Central Piedmont Community College, and a Batchelor of Science degree from Mt. Olive University, Mt Olive, North Carolina.

David E. Harris

Funeral Director/Embalmer

David is a 1976 graduate of Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, GA. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1976.  He and his wife Teresa Beck Harris have three sons, and four grandchildren and attend Macedonia Baptist Church in Loris, SC. David is a Master Mason and member of Bladen Lodge #646 in Elizabethtown, NC.

Grave/Funeral Assistant and Certified Crematory Operator

Koven has been a part of  Inman Ward Funeral Home since 2018, and is currently enrolled in the Funeral Service Program at Fayetteville Technical College, and helps in all aspects of the funeral home and Ward Services, the cemetery monument division of the funeral home.

He enjoys duck hunting, riding his motorcycle, and training his lab, Dolly.

Gage McPherson

Funeral Service Apprentice, Certified Crematory Operator and Funeral Assistant

Gage is from the Beaverdam community and has been with us since 2019, currently serving his Funeral Service Apprenticeship in both funeral directing and embalming. Gage is also a Crematory Certified Operator and Funeral Assistant.

In his spare time he enjoys hunting, long range shooting and traveling with his girlfriend Morgan.

Gene Davis

Funeral Assistant

Gene lives at Lake Waccamaw and enjoys his semi retirement from DuPont after 38 years of service.

He enjoys playing golf with friends and cruising around the lake on his pontoon boat. He enjoys watching NC State sports, especially football.
