Whiteville, N.C.

Ms. Laura G. Inman Lowery, age 94 of Whiteville, NC went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Monday morning November 2, 2015 following an extended illness.  She was the last surviving child of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Inman of Ash, NC.

     Ms. Lowery grew up in Ash, NC, where she farmed with her family.  As a young woman, she married Mr. James C. Lowery of Brunswick County, NC.  They were married for approximately forty three years before Mr. Lowery preceded her in death in 1986.

     Ms. Lowery spent most of her adult life farming to help provide for her family.  She also spent several years employed at Myrtle Desk in High Point, NC.

     When physically able, Ms. Lowery attended church at Fellowship Baptist Church in Ash, NC with her son and daughter-in-law.  She was a devout Christian who faithfully served the Lord all of her life.

     Ms. Lowery was preceded in death by her husband: James C. Lowery; her sons: John D. Lowery, James “Frankie” Lowery, Dennis R. Lowery and Tony C. Lowery; one brother: Orbie Inman; three sisters: Lillie Gause, Frances Inman, and Estelle Stubbs.

     She leaves behind three surviving children: Robert A. Lowery and wife Barbara of Whiteville, NC, Ronnie D. Lowery and wife Wanda of Whiteville, NC, and Doris A. Davis of Whiteoak, NC.  She is also survived by thirty grandchildren; seventy one great grandchildren; and twenty-one great great grandchildren.

     Ms. Lowery leaves an abundant legacy of love, compassion and christianity for her family to follow.  She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother and will be truly missed by all she has touched in her life.  When we all get to heaven…..what a day of rejoicing that will be!

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 7 PM to 9 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 11 AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City.  Burial will follow in the Inman Cemetery, Ash, NC.
