Tabor City, NC

Mrs. Carrie Lorene Cox Prince, age 85, died Monday, February 29, 2016, in the Columbus Regional Health Care Center, Whiteville, NC. Born July 7, 1930 in Columbus County, she was the widow of Jennings Lowell Prince and the daughter of the late Daniel Cox and Addie Gore Cox.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers: Dupree Cox, Aubrey Cox, Dalton Cox, Carson Cox, Clement Cox, Lloyd Cox, Leroy Cox; five sisters: Amanda Cox, Virgie Clubb, Loneta York, Reba Norris, Etta Cox.

She is survived by three sons: Markyl Prince (Charlene) of Tabor City, NC, Winfred Prince (Pam) of Tabor City, NC, Terry Leyndon Prince (Millie) of Tabor City, NC; seven grandchildren: Daniel Prince, Amber Prince Coleman (Jesse), Hope Prince Strickland (Cody), Shelby Prince, Preston Prince, Brittanie Adams, Brad Adams; and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 7 PM to 9 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 3 PM in the Sandy Plain Baptist Church, Tabor City, NC.  Burial will follow in the Old Zion Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
