Annie Ruth Stanley, age 85, died Monday, February 15, 2016.  Born July 26, 1930 in Columbus County, she was the widow of James Stanley and daughter of the late Hosea McCray Garrell and Olivia Hewett Garrell.

She is survived by Trina Lewis (J. Larry) of Mt. Pleasant, Vickie Fogleman (Eric R.) of Aberdeen; eleven grandchilden; and five great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Brent Stanley; two brothers: Willard Garrell, Bruce Garrell; and one sister: Willa Mae Ray.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, at 2 PM in the Iron Hill Baptist Church, Tabor City.  Burial will follow in the Spivey Cemetery, Tabor City.

Visitation will be held at 1 PM in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center Angel House, 206 Warrior Trail Rd, Whiteville, NC 28472 or Iron Hill Baptist Church, 22247 Peacock Rd, Tabor City, NC 28463.
