Mrs. Edna Louise Long, age 86, died Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the Liberty Commons Nursing Home, Whiteville, NC . Born July 17, 1930 in Sevierville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Pinkney Whaley and Anner Huskey Whaley and the widow of Herbert Graden Long.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons: Gary Long, Wilbur Long; one brother: Roosevelt Whaley; and one sister: Miley Proffit.

 She is survived by one son: Ronnie Long (Kay) of Whiteville, NC; one brother: Preston Whaley of Shallotte, NC; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A Graveside service will be held Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the McLamb Cemetery, Nakina, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Happy Home Baptist Church 2670 Happy Home Church Rd. Nakina, NC 28455.
