Mrs. Delma Rae Johnson, age 80, died Monday, January 25, 2016, in the Liberty Commons Nursing Center, Whiteville, NC.  Born November 17, 1935 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late John Craven Ward and Beatrice Jenrette Ward.

She is survived by her husband: David Paul Johnson of Nakina, NC; two sons: Timothy Paul Johnson of Lemoore, CA; Ronald Tracey Johnson of Memphis, TN; one brother: John Colon Ward of Nakina, NC; one sister: Joyce Robbins of Nakina, NC; three grandchildren: Cody Johnson, Seth Johnson, and Maggie Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister: Mala Dare Long.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City.  Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery, Mooney Ford Rd., Nakina, NC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
