Tabor City, NC

Rev. Dewey Lee Hilbourn, age 92, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Whiteville, NC. Born February 5, 1923 in Horry County, he was the son of the late Barcie Lee Hilbourn and Blanche Fowler Hilbourn.

He is survived by one son: John Hilbourn and wife Myra of Nakina, NC; one daughter: Evelyn Lucille H. Dameron and husband Kenneth R. Sr. of Tabor City, NC; one brother: Carlyle Hilburn of Littleton, CO; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Velma Estelle Fowler Hilbourn; two brothers: Horace Hilburn and Roy Hilburne; two sisters: Ovella Evans and Louise Hilburne; one grandson: Kelly Dustan Hilbourn; and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 7 PM to 9 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Fowler Hilbourn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
