CHADBOURN, NC

Jesse Alton “Rusty” Gore, age 78 of Chadbourn died Thursday morning in Loris Healthcare System.  Born in Columbus County, he was the son of the late P.C. and Mary Cartrette Gore.  He was a member of Beaverdam Freewill Baptist Church.  He was also a veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his wife, Miriam Huggins Gore; two sons:  Arthur Timothy Gore and Joseph Alton Gore, both of Chadbourn; one daughter, Sharon Gore Harris of Loris, SC; one sister, Derotha Gore Hooks of Chadbourn and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 pm in Beaverdam Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Buddy Seay with burial to follow in the McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:  Beaverdam Freewill Baptist Church, 2665 Beaverdam Road, Chadbourn, NC  28431.
