Tabor City, NC

Homer Paul Powell age 77 died Thursday morning in his home.  Born in Loris, he was the son of the late George Tilley Powell and Bertha Hathaway.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Powell; and three sisters:  Ora Mae Norris, Cordelia Grainger, and Reba Grainger.

He is survived by his wife Rose Cartrette Powell;  one son Paul Tilley Powell (Chrissey) of Loris;  one daughter Teresa Powell Stanley (Aubrey) of Tabor City;  one brother Roscoe Powell (Jewel);  two sisters:  Gertie Mae Ridlehuber (Buddy) of Greenwood, SC, and Bernice Isbell (Sonny) of Anderson, SC;  five grandchildren:   Eric Rouse (Kellie), Stone Stanley, Corey Powell (Tiffany), and Courtney and Andrea Powell.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 13th at 2:00pm at Inman Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the Chapel.
