Mrs. Helen Nobles Nance, age 94, went to her heavenly home June 24, 2016.  Helen was born May 19, 1922.  The daughter of Herbert Nobles and Christine Vera Nobles of Clarendon, NC.  In 1940, she married the love of her life V.W. “Bill” Nance.  She dedicated her life and her family to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, V. W. Nance, two children, Jerry Nance and Larry Nance, and two grandchildren, Rodney Nance and Travis Dowless, and eighteen brothers and sisters.  She is survived by five children, Shirley Haney, Janice Dowless and husband Grady, Terry Nance and wife Gloria, Sara Lewis and husband Robert, and Gerry Nance and wife Shirley.  She is also survived by twenty one grandchildren and fifty two great grandchildren.  The family wishes to thank all of those who have cared for her.  A special thanks to the staff at West Bladen Assisted Living for all of your love and care and to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center for your compassion.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, 206 Warrior Trail Rd, Whiteville, NC  28472.

A Graveside service will be held Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 1 PM in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
