Tabor City, NC

Mrs. Evelyn Canady Buck, age 83, died Thursday, August 18, 2016, in her home.  Born March 16, 1933 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Major Donnie Canady and Mary Jane Long Canady and the widow of Guy Walden Buck.

She is survived by one son, Anthony Buck (Theresa) of Tabor City; two daughters, Nell Fowler (Tim) of Tabor City, Judy Nealey (Billy) of Tabor City; one brother, Ray Canady of Tabor City; three sisters, Betty Williamson of Green Sea, Linda Long of Whiteville, Lula Mae Causey of Shallotte; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Major Canady, Hubert Canady; one sister, Bernice Lovette, and one granddaughter, Jessica Fowler.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 Pm in the Gores Chapel Baptist Church, Nakina, NC.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 3 Pm in the Gores Chapel Baptist Church, Nakina, NC.  Burial will follow in the Long Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
