William Norwood Fipps

Tabor City, NC

Mr. William Norwood Fipps, age 86, of Tabor City, NC, died on June 11, 2019 in the McLeod Loris Hospital.  Born December 4, 1932 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late William Alton Fipps and Rose Lee Harper Fipps.

He is survived by his wife: Freda Gore Fipps of the home; two daughters: Teri Fipps Jordan of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Laura Clemmons and husband Alan of Myrtle Beach, SC; one son: Randy Fipps and wife Beth of Watertown, NY; six grandchildren: Nicole, Kyle, Jason, Alayne, Kelly, Maggie; and three great grandchildren: Maddison, Kameron and Parker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Ina Gore.

Mr. Fipps was a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2 PM in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with burial to follow in the Spivey Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
