William Lewis Carter III, age 41, died January 6, 2020 in the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Born September 8, 1978 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late William Lewis Carter Jr. and Carolyn Kathy Soles Carter.

He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Rose Heath Carter of the home; one daughter: Katlyn Lenik of Clarkton, NC; five sons: Aaron Ledford of Loris, SC, Dominic Mitchell Vanderkolk of Shallotte, NC, William Lewis Carter IV of Clarkton, NC, Brandon Roy Vanderkolk of Shallotte, NC and Aiden Lee Carter of Clarkton, NC; and one sister: Tanya Smith of Tabor City, NC.
