William "Billy" Moody Prince

Tabor City, NC

Rev. William Moody Prince “Billy” age 89, died Saturday evening, March 25, 2023 in his home.

Born in Columbus County, NC he was the son of the late John Mion Prince and Myrtle Butler Prince. He was the widower of Dessie Viola Cartrette Prince.

He is survived by one son, John Thomas Prince and wife Marjorie of Tabor City, NC, one daughter, Patricia Prince McGougan and husband Edgar of Tabor City, NC, one sister Darcus Grainger and husband Roger of Tabor City, NC, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews and extended family and a special friend Geniece Norris.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Prince, one sister, Hilda Williamson.     

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in the Inman Ward Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 11:00AM in the Sandy Plain Baptist Church with entombment to follow in the Cartrette Cemetery on the Sandy Plains Church Rd. Tabor City, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sandy Plain Baptist Church Youth Group.
