William “Bill” Ballard Fowler, age 93, of Tabor City, NC, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025. Born December 11, 1931 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late Ballard Pickney Fowler and Norma Leona Cox Fowler.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served for 27 years before retiring. His foreign service deployments from 1952 to 1977 included two tours in Germany, Korea, two tours in Taiwan, and Vietnam. He was a member of Iron Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Faye Soles Fowler; two children, Ricky Fowler and Vicky (William) Hammond, both of Horry County, SC; two stepchildren, Drake Fowler (Regina) of Longs, SC, Blair Fowler of Myrtle Beach, SC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene (Ledenia) Fowler; and two sisters, Jean Fowler and Frances (Lehman) Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow in the Twin City Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Iron Hill Baptist Church, 22247 Peacock Road, Tabor City, NC or McLeod Hospice of the Pee Dee, 1203 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.
