Vonnie Joyce (Gore) Hodge

Vonnie Joyce Gore Hodge, age 77, of Tabor City, NC, died Sunday, September 26, 2021 in the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center, Whiteville, NC.  Born October 30, 1943 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robbie Delond Gore and Alma Spivey Gore.

She is survived by her husband: Zade Monroe Hodge of Tabor City, NC; one daughter: Joyce Ann Gonzalez of Jacksonville, NC; two brothers: Bruce Gore of Wilmington, NC and Rodney Gore of Tabor City, NC; one sister: Sadie Fowler of Tabor City, NC; two grandchildren: Hannah Gonzalez and Autumn King.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Estell Williams, Inez Faircloth and Rebecca Faye Gore.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Wright Cemetery, Minos Meares Rd., Tabor City, NC.
