Vivian Pierce Canady, age 72, died Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Born September 14, 1947 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Tommy Pierce and Eva Mae Sellers Pierce.
She is survived by her husband: Guy Russell Canady Sr. of Nakina, NC; one son: Guy Russell Canady Jr. and wife Christy of Nakina, NC; one daughter: Clarissa Canady Handlos and husband Steven of Gray, GA; one brother: Cleve Pierce of Whiteville, NC; two sisters: Doris Pierce of Whiteville, NC and Barbara Dial of Lumberton, NC; and five grandchildren: Katelyn Canady, Lauren Canady, Summer Handlos, Sierra Handlos, Dylan Handlos.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
