Virgina Faye Morris age 89, of Parkton, NC., died Sunday, July 19, 2026, in Novant Health New Hanover Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.

Born in Columbus County, NC., she was the daughter of the late Thurston Gore and Vera Williamson Gore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Alvin Joseph Morris and one son, Alvin Michael Morris.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra McNeill (Wilson) of Parkton, NC., April Rogers (Charles) of Red Springs, NC., one brother, Larry Gore (Linda) of Longs, SC., four grandchildren, Christopher Rogers (Constance), Cody McNeill, Brandon McNeill (Tessa), Nicholas Rogers(Leslie), five great grandchildren, Ava, Lainey, Allie, Grayson, Giulianna, and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers, Barbara Locklear, Dot Locklear, Chloe Jacobs.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:00AM at Bethesda Fellowship Church, Nakina, NC., with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
