Virgina Dare (Stanley) Prince

Virginia Dare Prince, age 87, of Whiteville, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 in her home. Born in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Monroe Stanley, Sr. and Darcus Ann Ward Stanley.

She is survived by her husband, James Bobby Prince of the home, two sons, Mark Prince (Pam) of Whiteville, NC and Allen Prince of Newman, GA, and two grandchildren, Dallas Prince and Kailey Hull (Will).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Terry Prince, five brothers, Woody Stanley, Worth Stanley, FM Stanley, Elbert Stanley and Brooks Stanley, and two sisters, Carrie Wolford and Evie Gore.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
