Vernon Allen, age 85, of Tabor City, NC, died Sunday, August 27, 2023 in his home. Born February 4, 1938 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late A.J. Allen and Emma Long Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Boswell Allen of the home; one daughter, Heather Dawn Faulk (Travis) of Nakina, NC; one son, Russell Allen (Melinda) of Loris, SC; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Verna Dean Quest; two brothers, Kenneth Allen, and Curtis Allen; and three sisters, Kathalene Todd, Peggy Stephens, and Loraine Allen.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 12:30 PM in the Spivey Cemetery, Will Inman Road, Tabor City, NC.
