Vera Hilburn Piver, age 91 of Green Bay, WI, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025 in her home with family by her side.

Born December 9, 1934 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Vance Hilburn and Nellie Fowler Hilburn.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Piver (Patti), Bill Piver (Stacie), Remona Ward, Ann Diedrich (Tim), and Ila Johnson (Russell); grandchildren, Jenny, John (Carole), Danielle, Taylor, Brandi (Caz), Steve (Melissa), Krystal (Brandon), Rita (Adam), Rachael (Jeremy), Amanda, and Andy; twelve great grandchildren; and siblings, Brice Hilburn, Henry Hilburn, Leon Hilburn, Dale Hilburn, and Pearl Matthews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wayne Piver; granddaughter, Catherine “Cati” Ann Boyter; and siblings, Luetta Penny, Herman Hilburn, Gertie Spivey, and Eva Cox.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2025 at 12:00 PM in in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Oak Dale Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
