Timothy “Tim” McPherson, age 59, of the Beaverdam community in Chadbourn, NC, died Friday, October 11, 2024 in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Whiteville, NC. Born May 20, 1965 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son Elbert McPherson and Joyce Ola Mae Moss McPherson.
He is survived by his wife, Amaryllis S. McPherson of the home. Mother, Joyce Ola Mae Moss McPherson of Chadbourn, NC. Two sisters, Nancy Strickland of Chadbourn, NC and Brenda Grainger and husband Junior of Tabor City, NC. One stepdaughter, Wendy Summerlin and husband Phillip of Topton, NC. Grandchildren, Ashton Cook and husband John, Riley and Julian Pittman. Three great grandchildren, Lucas Cook, Knox Cook and Avy Rae Cook and several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one stepson, Jamie Pittman and one brother, Elton McPherson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the McPherson Cemetery, Peacock Road, Chadbourn, NC.
