Ted “Chipper” Watts, Jr., age 76, died Sunday, September 26, 2021 in the McLeod Loris Hospital, Loris, SC. Born June 11, 1945 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of Maurice Bass Watts of Tabor City, NC and the late Ted Watts, Sr. and the widower of Christie Rhodes Watts.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sons: Ted Watts, III (Cathy) of Florence, SC, Christopher Ted Watts (Hollis) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mike Rhodes Dow Watts (Jesse) of Loris, SC; three brothers: Terry Watts (Shirley) of Tabor City, NC, Ricky Watts (Shenil) of Tabor City, NC and Tony Watts (Devan Branch) of Tabor City, NC; four grandchildren: Gavin Trey Watts, Jamison Dylan Hunt, Wrenlea Brae Watts and Braxton Dow Watts.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Lea Dickerson Hunt.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Wildlife Club, Tabor City, NC.
