Sherry Renee (Cartrette) Beck

Sherry Reneé Cartrette Beck, age 56, of Whiteville, NC, died Thursday, September 21, 2023, in the McLeod Loris Hospital.  Born May 23, 1967 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Larry Faye Cartrette and Blonnie Mae Cribb Cartrette.

She was a member of New Horizon Baptist Worship Center where she served as a Sunday School Teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Wilson Beck, Jr. of the home; one brother, Michael Cartrette and wife Traci of Whiteville, NC; one sister, Debbie Hartzog and husband David of Goldsboro, NC; nephew, Cody Reed; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Randy Cartrette; and one sister, Sheila Cartrette Reed.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the New Horizon Baptist Worship Center with burial to follow in the New Horizon Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
