Shelvey Jean Ward Long, age 71, of Clarendon, NC, died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in her home. Born December 8, 1951 in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late Earl Alverd Ward and Alfredia Ikner Ward and the widow of James Ralph Long.
She is survived by one daughter, Regina Ann Ezzell of Whiteville, NC; one son, James Earl Ward of Clarendon, NC; one grandchild; and one brother, Terrance Alverd Ward of Tabor City, NC.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, David Wayne Ezzell, Jr; and two brothers, Larry Eugene Ward and Kenneth Earl Ward.
A memorial committal will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 12, 2023 in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
