Rosa Lee (Whittle) Coates

Rosa Lee Coates, age 86, of Loris died Friday, December 1, 2023, in Compass Post Rehabilitation Center, Conway, SC. Born in Lexington County, SC. 

She was the daughter of the late Raymond Whittle and Carrie Lou Craps Whittle.

She is survived by one son, David K. Coates (Tammy) of Loris, SC, two daughters: Judith Norton of W. Columbia, SC, Diane Fisher (Jeffrey) of Loris, SC, one brother, Irvin Whittle of Leesville, SC, one sister, Mary Ann Eargle of Lexington, SC, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sheppard Lee Coates and one brother, Horace Whittle, one sister, Rachel Long. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Twin City Memorial Gardens Loris, SC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
