Rifton ‘JR’ Joseph Gore, Jr., age 76, died Saturday, April 18, 2020 in the McLeod Loris Hospital, Loris, SC. Born May 10, 1943 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Rifton Joseph Gore, Sr. and Edith Gore.

He is survived by his wife Clara Lindsay Gore of the home; two sons: William Gore and his wife Pam of Whiteville, NC and Joe Gore and his wife Abby of Tabor City, NC; one daughter: Melissa Smith and her husband Joe of Tabor City, NC; one step daughter: Lisa Ann Price and her husband Glenn of Evergreen; one brother: Ronnie Gore of Tabor City, NC; one sister: Emma Grey Taylor and her husband Tommy of Tabor City, NC; ten grandchildren: Harrison Gore, John Harvey Gore, Chandler Gore, Treylon Gore, Mallory Gore, Kelsea Noble, Alexis Noble, Glenn Price, Jr., Brittini Price and Gabriel Smith and five great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Christen Vogel and Brandon Price and one step son: John Keith Jones.

A drop in visitation will be held, Monday, April 20, 2020 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Price Cemetery, Evergreen, NC with Rev. Rusty Brown officiating.
