Rhonda Cox, age 65, of Tabor City, NC, died Friday, June 28, 2024 in her home surrounded by her family. Born on July 9, 1958, in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Vardel Hughes and Lila Johnnie Mae Caison.
Survivors include her husband, Nolton Cox of Tabor City, NC; son, Jeremy Nolton Cox (Jenn) of Little River, SC; two brothers, Nathaniel Vardel Hughes, Jr. of Nakina, NC and Kevin Neil Hughes of Virginia; six grandchildren, Harleigh Cox, Caleb Buffkin, Olivia Simmons, Billy Mann, Robert Simmons, and Joseph Mann; one great-granddaughter, Oaklynn Buffkin.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2024 in Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Monday in Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
