Peggy Vereen Suggs, age 71, of Tabor City, NC, died Monday, May 12, 2025 in her home. Born November 19, 1953 in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Donnie Vereen and Magaline Rabon Vereen.
She is survived by two daughters, Ammie Fowler (Tracy) of Tabor City, NC, and Kellie Tompkins (Mickey) of Tabor City, NC; one son, Fredrick “Freddie” Mayo (Barbara) of Tabor City, NC; one brother, Leonard Gillard of Conway, SC; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kelly Vereen; and three sisters, Mary Ann Hardee, Frances Thompkins, and Grace Register.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
