Whiteville, NC
In Loving Memory of Pastor Paul Blouin II.
Pastor Paul went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2025. Raised by family along with parents, Paul and Louise Blouin (both departed) in Chicago, IL and Whiteville, NC, along with his sister Rose Blouin. Paul was a beloved father, grandfather, pastor, Owner of Blouin Contracting, and Founder of Word of Faith Ministries, a ministry he established alongside his late wife, Evangelist Margaret J. Blouin. Together, they built a legacy of faith, love, and service to God and their community.
With love and encouragement from his spiritual mother Mrs. Mary Banner and her family, he discovered his passion for ministry. Paul’s heart for the Lord radiated in every aspect of his life. His passion for sharing the word of God extended far beyond the pulpit. Through his prison ministry, street outreach, and tent ministry services, Paul lived out his calling to “go into the highways and byways and compel them to come” (Luke 14:23). His faith was contagious, and his life was a testament to the power of God’s love and redemption.
Due to his dedication to the calling placed on his life, the City of Louisville, KY recognized his contributions by declaring February 28th as a day in his honor, celebrating his service to the community.
Though a man of few words, until he got on the pulpit, when Paul spoke it was clear that the Spirit moved within him. His most cherished and beloved hymn, "It's Bubbling," became a signature of his ministry and you couldn't leave a service without the tune leaving with you:
“It’s bubbling, it’s bubbling, it’s bubbling in my soul,
Their singing and shouting, since Jesus made me whole.
Some folks don’t understand it, but I can’t keep it quiet.
It’s bubbling, bubbling, bubbling, bubbling, bubbling day and night.”
Paul's legacy continues through his daughter Paula Blouin-Briggs M.S., B.S., A.A., her husband Retired US Veteran Specialist Tyrone Briggs Sr., and their children Tyrone Briggs Jr. and Sarah Briggs. By his daughters Vera Blouin and Mary Blouin (departed) and her children Malique Jenrette and Matthias Jenrette. His son Paul Blouin III, his wife US Army Retired Ashley Way, M.S., LAPC, NCC, and their children Paul Blouin IV and Taya Blouin. His lifelong best friend and prayer partner Elesa Commerce and his niece and nephews Kimaada Moore and Bakari Blouin. He is also survived by many dear friends and loved ones who cherished his memory and we know all will miss him deeply.
Paul’s impact on this world can never be measured by words alone, but by the countless lives he touched with his unwavering faith, compassion, and service. He taught others to live with purpose, love without limits, and trust God in all things.
As we honor his memory, we hold to the promise that death is not the end. He fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith (2nd Timothy 4:7).
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord (2nd Corinthians 5:8).
Services will be held at a later date.
A service of Inman Ward Funeral Home & Crematory.
