Mr. Mitchell Wayne Phillips age 48 died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in McLeod Loris Hospital.  Born February 23, 1967 in Horry County, he was the son of the late William Burris Phillips and Effie Cornelius Ward Phillips.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: James Waylon Phillips, William Burris Phillips, Jr., Alvie Rudolph Phillips and Scarlet Dean Phillips.

He is survived by one son: Mitchell Wayne Phillips, Jr. of Tabor City; one daughter: Angela Nichole Phillips of Tabor City; four brothers: Marvin Dale Phillips, Richard Darryl Phillips, Alford Henry Phillips, Frank Boe Phillips all of Tabor City; three sisters: Willa Wanell Ward, Melba Jean Nealey, Linda Haven Beasley, all of Tabor City; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2015 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 3 PM in the Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.
