Minnie Virginia Strickland

 Minnie Virginia Strickland, age 87, of Green Sea, SC, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in her home.  Born October 29, 1933 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Horace Grady Turbeville and Inez Strickland Turbeville and the widow of Gene Tunney Strickland.

She is survived by one son Terry Wayne Strickland (Charlene) of Green Sea SC; one daughter: Jean S. Causey (Ernie) of Loris, SC; two grandchildren: William Scott Strickland (Amanda) and Michelle Floyd (Randy); two step grandchildren: Burt Causey and Curt Causey; four great grandchildren: Autumn Brown, James Brown, Shawn Strickland and Dawson Strickland; 10 step great grandchildren: Miranda Floyd, Jamiee Floyd, Christan Floyd, Kylie Burt, Braeyln Harmon, Ashley Williamson, LeighAnna Causey, Katie Causey, Aaron Causey and Zach Causey; her fur baby: Spot; and caregiver: Annie Vargas.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister: Geraldine T. Whiteside.    

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 2 PM in the Gapway Baptist Church.  Entombment will follow in the Strickland Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
