Mildred Christine Strickland, age 77, died on Thursday, June 27, 2024, in MUSC Health Florence Medical Center. Born on November 18, 1946, in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Barcie Williamson and Smithie Godwin Williamson.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon Strickland of Tabor City, NC; sister, Betty Williamson Nealey (Billy) of Tabor City, NC; great-niece, Miranda Williamson of Clarendon, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James W. Williamson, Braxton Williamson: sister, Marie Mincey.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2024 in Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in Forest Lawn Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
