Melvin Douglas Grainger age 79, of Tabor City, NC died Friday, August 16, 2024 in McLeod Loris Hospital, Loris, SC.

He was the son of the late Homer John Grainger and Anastacia Dyson Grainger.

He was a veteran of the U.S Army.

He is survived by nephew Eric Prout (Mirenda) of Tabor City, NC, one brother, Randy Grainger (Roxy) of Tabor City, NC. Two sisters, Janice Hardee (Troy) of Loris, SC, Sherry Butler of Tabor City, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Carpenter, Tammy Johnson, Linda Russ.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 4:00pm in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the cemetery.
