Clarendon, NC

 Mrs. Mary Verna Gore age 89 died Friday, December 11, 2015 in Ash, NC.  Born June 8, 1926 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Vanderbilt Gore and Mary Ella Gore.

She is survived by four brothers: J. C. Gore of Nakina, Paul Gore of Ash, Brooks Gore of Nakina, Kenneth Gore of Nakina; three sisters: Esther Moses of Nakina, Shelby Linton of Thorntown, IN, Deloris McCumbee of Ash; two grandchildren; Gene Gore and Sabrina Dees, both of Four Oaks; and three great grandchildren.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Hubert Gore; one son: Gary Gore; one daughter: Regina Hewitt; three brothers: Wade Gore, Waymon Gore, Bill Gore; two sisters: Cecil Gore, Hazel Gore; baby granddaughter: Jennifer Hewitt; and one grandson: Jason Hewitt.   

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 5 PM to 7 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City.

 Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 2 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Jode Gore Cemetery, Tabor City.
