Mary Rose Harrelson, age 93, of Green Sea, SC died Sunday, January 5, 2020 in the McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC. Born October 12, 1926 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Don and Sarah Mills Harrelson and the widow of Keith Wylan Harrelson.
She is survived by two daughters: Cindy Weaver of Green Sea, SC and Mary Jo Gillette of Jacksonville, NC; three grandchildren: Nicole Weaver, Samuel Moore and Lacey Reid; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews of whom she held dear.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Don M. Harrelson and Mack I. Harrelson; two sisters: Helen Barnhill and Martha Alford.
She was a member of Green Sea Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Green Sea Baptist Church with burial to follow in Green Sea Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in church fellowship hall.
