Margaret (Soles) Tyson

Margaret Soles Tyson, age 85, of Tabor City, NC, died Friday, March 14, 2025, in UNC Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC.  Born January 21, 1940, in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wendell Lee Soles and Ida Mae Jordan Soles.  She was the widow of David James Tyson.

She is survived by; one daughter, Sonja Louise Godwin (Danny) of Chadbourn, NC; two sons, David Jeffery Tyson (Karen) of Raleigh, NC, and Richard Gregory Tyson (Leanne) of Summerville, SC; one brother, Jerry Wayne Soles of Clayton, NC; four sisters, Annie Mae Blackburn of Loris, SC, Nancy Chestnut of Nakina, NC, Barbara Chandler of Swansboro, NC and Sandra Stevens of Loris, SC; two grandchildren Dana Louise Teal of Roper, NC and Trina Michelle Worley of Clarendon, NC; seven great grandchildren, and twelve great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ruther Lee Soles; one daughter, Jennie Lynn Timmons; one grandson, Donald Bradley Timmons; and one sister, Christine Watts.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Myrtle Green Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in Myrtle Green Cemetery.
