Major Stephen Phillips, age 73, of Tabor City, NC died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in his home. Born January 1, 1948 in Leavenworth, KS, he was the son of the late Major O. Phillips and Mavis Marie Laskasa.

He is survived by his wife: Loretta Sue Brouhard Phillips of the home; one son: James Major Phillips of Tabor City, NC; four daughters: Dawn Michelle Phillips (Carlos) of Tabor City, NC, Carrie Ruth Zercher (Jesse) of Suffolk, VA, Diamond Nicole Phillips-Thurman (Chris) of Fort Sill, OK and Cheyene Leigh Phillips of Tabor City, NC; one great grandchild: Piper Rose Thurman; sister in law: Maxine Brouhard; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
