Magdalene R. Cribb, age 91, of Bellefonte, PA, formally of Tabor City, NC, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on November 26, 2024.
Born on July 16, 1933 in Columbus County of home birth. She was the daughter of the late Corbett and Mandy Rhodes. In November 1950, she was married to Wallace Franklin Cribb.
Magdalene graduated from Tabor City High School in Tabor City, NC. Over her lifetime, she has worked in sewing factories and finally at National Spinning Company. Magdalene spent most of her working career of 20+ years with them until her retirement in 1999.
Magdalene was a wife to Wallace F. Cribb, who proceeded in death on March 11, 1994; a mother, Jerry Lane Cribb, who proceeded in death November 25, 2002; a granddaughter, Brandi Nichole Williamson, who proceeded in death August 14, 2005; sister, Velma Faison who proceeded in death September 17, 2015 and sister-in-law of Willie Faison who proceeded in death September 4, 2016 and many of friends and family during her time here on earth.
Magdalene was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother (Nana). She was always greeted warmly by those she was around to include strangers. All of us in the family knew her as “Nana”. We will always miss our Nana.
Magdalene was a founding member of the Pireway Freewill Baptist Church. She was the pianist for the Church services until she moved away 2015.
She is survived by a daughter, Jacquelyn (Scott) Lingenfelter; grandmother to Amanda (Anthony-fiancé) Lingenfelter; Nephews: William (Sandra) and Mitchell (Jenny) Faison.
Public visitation and service will be held on Sunday December 8th, 2024 at 12 noon at Inman Funeral Home Sanctuary. Burial will proceed to Forest Lawn Cemetery for a graveside service.
Flowers are fine but a donation to the Red Cross - North Carolina Helene Efforts would be generous.
