Obituary

Green Sea, SC 

Lucille Edwards Shelnut, 83, widow of Willie B. “Bob” Shelnut, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 in MUSC Marion Medical Center. She was born March 12, 1939, a daughter of the late Gordon and Lou (Williams) Edwards. 

She is survived by two sons, Johnny Dale Bruton of Green Sea and Donald Kim Bruton and wife, Sharra of Loris; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, J. D. Edwards; and six sisters, Sallie Mae Floyd Tyler, Elnita Shelley, Coleen Ford, Elease Mungo, Mary Alice Davis and Pauline Galloway.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
