Lillian Ward Cribb

Lillian Ward Cribb, age 85, died Monday, September 23, 2024 in Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Whiteville, NC.  Born April 14, 1939 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Simon T. and Mary E. Ward.

She was a member of Cypress Creek Original Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter in-law, Kay Cribb of Chadbourn, NC. Two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leamon Devon Cribb, two sons, Gary Jerome Cribb, and Timothy “Timmy” Cribb.  Three brothers, Simon T. Ward, Jr., Melvin Ward, and Corbet Ward.  Five sisters, Gertrude Hathway, Letha Hathway, Altie Singletary, Lizzie Mae Singletary, and Minnie Pearl Ward.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Cypress Creek Original Free Will Baptist Church with entombment to follow in the Columbus Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
