Leon Edward Fonvielle, age 76 of Tabor City, NC, died Thursday, January 28, 2021. Born March 24, 1944 in Marion County, SC, he was the son of the late Leon C. Fonvielle and Mary Lou Blanton Fonvielle.
He was a member of the Tabor City Baptist Church. He was third generation at E. W. Fonvielle Feed, Seed & Garden Center for 44 years. He was also a proud sponsor, coach, and committed member of the community and athletic programs of Tabor City.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Leann B. Fonvielle of the home; three sons: Leon Edward “Chuck” Fonvielle, Jr. (Linda) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Jake Fonvielle (Jennifer) of Tabor City, NC and Jeremy Fonvielle (Lauren) of Townsend, DE; one brother: Carlton Monroe “Buddy” Fonvielle of Tabor City, NC; three grandchildren: Brody, Ava and Jaxx; and step brother: Mickey Watts (Linda) of Concord, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Russell Fonvielle.
A graveside service will be held Monday, February 1, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the Myrtle Green Cemetery.
Viewing will be held Monday, February 1, 2021 from 9 AM to 11 AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
