Larry Dean Thompson, age 79, died Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in McLeod Loris Hospital, Loris, SC. Born on August 1, 1945, he was the son of the late Carl L. Thompson and Katherine “Kate” Bellamy Thompson. Larry was a Master Mason of Conway Lodge 65 and a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Hughes of Galivants Ferry, SC, three brothers, Rex Thompson (Wanda) of Tabor City, NC, Ricky Thompson of Longs, SC, and Don Thompson (Dianne) of Longs, SC, one sister, Judy Neilson of Charlotte, NC, and one granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Thompson and Jerry Thompson; and three sisters, Billie Jean Causey, Diane Gore, and Debbie Edwards.

A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Wampee Community, Watertower Road, Longs, SC.
