Kevin Darrell Powell, age 47, died Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in McLeod Seacoast, Little River, SC.  Born January 19, 1977 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of Darrell Monroe Powell and Shelia Buck Powell. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Stephanie Powell of Tabor City, NC and maternal grandmother, Betty Buck of Tabor City, NC.  He was the proud uncle of nephew, Austin Fisher and niece, Stella Fisher.  Additional survivors include aunt and uncle, Pat and Wayne Tyler of Tabor City, NC, uncle, Mark Powell, cousins, Jeremie Tyler, Darrian Tyler and Chastity Ward, all of Tabor City, NC.  Aunt and uncle, Randy and Tammy Buck, cousins, Fred Randall Buck II, Miranda Buck, Corey Buck and Helen Buck, all of Tabor City, NC.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Fred Buck, paternal grandparents, Monroe and Earlene Powell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Jacobs Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral.
