Kenneth McCellan Godwin, age 80, of Cerro Gordo, died Friday, August 27, 2021 in Columbus Regional Healthcare, Whiteville, NC. Born September 19, 1940 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late James Albert Godwin and Flora Burney Godwin.

He is survived by his wife: Alma Blackwell Godwin of the home; four children: Kenneth Godwin (Melissa) of Cerro Gordo, NC, Sheila Watts (Glenn) of Tabor City, NC, Kinney Ray Godwin of Bladen County, NC and Billy Horne (Matthew) of Cerro Gordo, NC; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson: Daniel Rick Godwin; and one brother: Benny Godwin.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
