Joyce Elaine Nix age 82, of Charlotte, NC, died Saturday, December 14, 2024. Born in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Kirby Franklin Watts and Allie Mae Redwine Watts.

She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.

She is survived by her husband Thomas M. Nix of the home; one daughter, Cindy Good and husband Eric of Huntersville, NC; one step son, Ken Nix and wife Sandra of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Robert Watts (Sarah) of Nakina, NC; five sisters, Retha Presley of Indian Trail, NC, Erma Billings of Charlotte, NC, Sylvia Warren (Buster) of Nakina, NC, Pam Ward (Roger) of Whiteville, NC, and Carol Ray (Glenn) of Lake Waccamaw, NC; two grandchildren, Jamey Nix and Nicole Heller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kirby Watts; and one sister, Norma Watts.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM in Nakina Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Watts Cemetery, Seven Creeks Hwy, Nakina, NC.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00 PM until service time in the church.

An additional memorial service will be held, Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 7200 E. WT Harris Blvd., Charlotte, NC.
