Joyce Marial Causey, age 82, of Loris, SC, died Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC.

Born March 30, 1943 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Leo Tyler and Elizabeth Ward Tyler.

She is survived by one daughter, Angel Strickland of Tabor City, NC, four sisters, Ila Pearl Benton of Tabor City, NC, Kellen Nealey of Tabor City, NC, Ann Ivey of Evergreen, NC and Belinda Thompson of Burlington, NC, two grandchildren, Sheena Strickland and Kris Strickland, two great grandchildren, three step sons, Randy Causey of Loris, SC, Paul Causey of Loris, SC, Wilbur Causey of Loris, SC, and one step daughter, Carolyn Causey of Loris, SC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olen J. Causey, one son, Michael Buffkin, one sister, Betty Lewis, one brother James “Red” Tyler, one step son, Dale Causey and one step daughter, Mary Causey.  

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
