Joseph Alan West, 38, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 in McLeod Loris Hospital. He was born September 27, 1983 in Whiteville, NC, a son of Gaudencio and Linda Barrera.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2022 at Inman Ward Funeral Home and Crematory in Tabor City.

He is survived by his parents, Linda and Gaudencio Barrera; three brothers, Samuel Barrera of Whiteville, Gaudencio Barrera, II of Nakina, and Isidro Barrera of Nakina; three sisters, Rosea Barrera of Nakina, Maria Guadeloupe Barrera of Asheboro, and Clara Barrera of Chadbourn; two uncles, Kenneth Grissinger of Whiteville and Jess Biar of Florida; one aunt, Karen Fowler of Tabor City; and several nieces and nephews.
