Joseph Mark Rhodes Sr. age 63, died Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in MUSC Charleston, SC.

Born in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Joseph Leon Rhodes and Pauline Ward Rhodes.

He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Shawn Rhodes of Loris; three daughters, Cora Mogyoros of Loris, SC, Tyana Soles of Denver, CO, and Shannon Marlowe of Tabor City, NC; two sons, Joseph Mark Rhodes Jr. of Loris, and Wade Soles (Cheyenne) of Tabor City; two brothers, Larry Rhodes (Kathy) of Marion, NC and Cecil Blackburn (Crystal) of Crusoe Island, NC; three sisters, Frances Baldwin of Little River, SC, Naomi Cartrette (Larry) of Clarendon, NC, and  Linda Barton (Glenn) of Pembroke, NC; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Michele Aldridge; and eleven nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Kade Soles, Lincoln Soles, and Serenity Soles.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 10:00AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
